Winter Gear for Oakland Park

The ECC is partnering with the Awana program at Grace Polaris Church to collect winter outwear for ongoing outreach to the residents in the Oakland Park apartments. From December 1–11, we will be collecting donations of new hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, and coats. Please drop items in the donation box outside the ECC office. Thank you for your generous gifts to those in need!

WCS Information Night

Beginning January 21, Worthington Christian School is hosting several Admissions Information Nights for the 2021–22 school year. More information is available on their website.

Re-Enrollment Begins!

January 4 starts our re-enrollment period for current ECC students for the 2021–22 school year. Information packets will be placed in your mailboxes and will be available online. Please fill out your options form and turn it into the office with your enrollment fee as soon as possible. Class placement will be determined by the date the office receives your form.


Classroom Info

Preschoolers

  • Our Bible quality for December: Giving – sharing what I have with a happy spirit
  • 3’s Preschool: We will be learning about Christmas. In our Bible time we will be learning about Giving, Mary & Joseph (Matthew 1:18–25; Luke 1:26–28), and Shepherds & Jesus’ birth (Luke 2:1–20).
  • 4’s Preschool: We will be learning about Shapes & Colors and Christmas. In our Bible time we will be learning about David & the lineage of Jesus (Matthew 1: 1–17), Mary & Joseph (Matthew 1:18–25; Luke 1:26–28), and Shepherds & Jesus’ birth (Luke 2:1–20).
  • Pre-K Plus: We will be learning about Shapes & Colors and Christmas. In our Bible time we will be learning about Who is Jesus?, New Testament events leading to Jesus’ birth (Matthew 1, Luke 1), and Jesus’ birth (Luke 2:1–20).

Toddlers

  • We will learn about Christmas. In our Bible time, we will learn about the Christmas story (Matthew 18–25; Luke 1:26–28; Luke 2:1–20). Our Bible concept will focus on Jesus is God’s son, and our Bible verse will be 1 John 4:10, “God loved us and sent His Son.”
  • Please make sure to bring in wipes and diapers for December!

Infants

Special Thanks

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Thanksgiving Care Package Collection during the month of November! Your generous gifts allowed many to receive baskets of food for the holidays!

Cold Weather

Please make sure your child is dressed to go outside. This may include a sweater, coat, gloves, or hat. We like to play outside as much as possible before the weather gets too cold!

Box Tops for Education

Box Tops for Education is even easier to use! Just download the Box Tops for Education app on your phone, select Grace Early Childhood Center as your school, and scan your grocery receipt! Box Tops clipped from items will still be accepted in the office.
