Our Policies & Procedures

Tuition Policy

Two tuition payment plans are offered: an annual payment with a percentage discount or a monthly installment. A 2% discount is available on an annual tuition payment if paid by July 10 OR ten days after the date of the first billing.

Monthly tuition is based on either of the following payment schedules:

  • Half-Day Preschool Program: Nine Monthly Installments from August–April
  • Full-Day Infant–Preschool Programs: Billed Monthly

Monthly installments are due on the first of the month and considered past due after the tenth of the month. Accounts not paid in full by the tenth of the month will be assessed a $25 late fee. If the tenth of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, the next business day will be the last day to pay accounts in full.

Late payment penalties are assessed on the 11th of the billing month.

If an account is past due by the 30th of the billing month, the student may be unenrolled from the Grace Early Childhood Center.

Once an account becomes past due, the entire balance must be paid and the account brought current in order for a child’s admission to continue. A child’s spot may be given to the next available person on the waitlist once an account becomes past due. There will be a fee of $25 for all checks returned NSF and all returned EFT payments.

Closing Policy

All inclement weather closings and delays are announced at the discretion of the Grace Early Childhood Center administration.

Franklin County’s severe weather alerts are used to help determine if the center will be open or closed during an inclement weather event. Learn more about Ohio’s snow emergency levels at WeatherSafety.Ohio.gov. The most up-to-date closing or delay status for the Grace Early Childhood Center can be viewed on our website by 6:15 a.m.

When Franklin County is under any level of snow emergency, the following steps will be taken.

Level 1 Emergency

Emergency Description: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.

Our Status in a Level 1 Emergency: Open with a two-hour delay. Operating hours will be 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Emergencies Announced During Operating Hours: If a Level 1 Emergency is announced during operating hours, the center will close early. The closing time will be posted on the website.

Level 2 Emergency

Emergency Description: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work. Motorists should use extreme caution.

Our Status in a Level 2 Emergency: To be determined by the administration based on the current weather and driving conditions, keeping in mind the safety of our staff and families.

If the center will be closed, the information will be posted on our website by 6:15 a.m.

If the center remains open, it will operate under a two-hour delay. Operating hours will be 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. for full-day children only. The half-day preschool program will be closed. Full-day children who stay home will not miss any regularly scheduled classroom activities.

Emergencies Announced During Operating Hours: If a Level 2 Emergency is announced during operating hours, the center will close immediately. Parents will need to pick up their child within one hour.

Level 3 Emergency

Emergency Description: All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one should be driving during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel or a personal emergency exists. All employees should contact their employer to see if they should report to work. Those traveling on the roads may subject themselves to arrest.

Our Status in a Level 3 Emergency: Closed.

Emergencies Announced During Operating Hours: If a Level 3 Emergency is announced during operating hours, the center will close immediately. Parents will need to pick up their child within one hour.
