What an exciting month it has been at the Grace Early Childhood Center! We’ve had the fantastic opportunity to welcome a visit from Fire Station 33, and we couldn’t be more thankful for their time with us. Our preschoolers not only learned about important fire safety tips but also had a blast climbing into the fire trucks for some memorable photos!
The lovely warm weather has allowed our teachers to maximize outdoor activities with their classes. We’ve enjoyed delightful picnics, nature walks, and even some adorable buggy rides for our infants around the beautiful Grace campus. Inside the classrooms, our little explorers are diving into topics that spark their curiosity, like learning about God, the wonders of creation, their families, and an exciting journey through the age of dinosaurs. Each day is filled with new adventures as we embrace the enthusiasm for their learning.
As we step into October, we welcome the cozy sweater weather, shorter days, and engaging lessons that surround fall and harvest. Our dedicated teachers will share inspiring stories from the Bible, including teachings about Joshua, Moses, Mary and Martha, and Daniel in the Lion’s Den. We’re especially thrilled that this month, our preschoolers will embark on an exciting trip to Lehner’s Pumpkin Farm in Delaware County, recognized as the best pumpkin patch in the USA by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards! Meanwhile, our infants and toddlers will enjoy their own charming ECC pumpkin patch set up in the North Courtyard.
October is sure to be bustling with activities, culminating in our much-anticipated Grace Polaris Trunk-or-Treat on Sunday, October 26, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the North parking lot. We invite everyone to contribute candy by Friday, October 24, to share the joy with children from our school and community. Last year, over 1,500 people joined the fun, and we can’t wait to see everyone again! Don’t forget to stop by and check out the ECC Rubber Duckie trunk display—we hope to see you there!
